Chocolate Mint Brownies

Chocolate Mint Brownies

Brownie
1 cup sugar
1 cup softened butter
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 can Hershey syrup (16 oz)
1 tsp vanilla

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix sugar and butter.
3. Add eggs and stir.
4. Add flour and stir.
5. Add syrup and vanilla and stir.
6. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan and bake for 30 minutes.

Topping
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp cream or milk
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
green food coloring

1. Mix all ingredients together and spread over top of cooled brownies.

Glaze
1 cup chocolate chips
6 tbsp butter

1. Melt together in saucepan or double broiler.
2. Pour evenly over brownies.
3. Refrigerate for several hours until set.

Notes: The topping and glaze can be used on a normal boxed brownie mix as well.
